Wedding at Mission San Juan Capistrano
Marci and Jesse’s beautiful Wedding at Mission San Juan Capistrano was simply breathtaking. The couple had decided to save their first look for when they saw each other down the aisle so they spent the morning getting ready with all their best friends and family members. Marci had a relaxing morning with her ladies at the Marriott Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point where she was able to have brunch, relax, and have her hair and make-up done before the big day. Jesse played things casual and hung out with family before getting ready and heading over to the church with his groomsmen. With such a large bridal party, the couple decided to rent a vintage school bus, fitting since Marci is a school teacher.
As guests began to enter the church, Marci watched on from the blacked-out school bus windows watching friends and family meet and congratulate each other on the wonderful union about to begin. Guests were serenaded by the sounds of mariachi’s inside the church, a traditional Spanish style band for their Wedding at Mission San Juan Capistrano.
As it came time to close the doors and get ready for Marci to make her way down to the altar, her father Joe, joined her to escort her into the historic cathedral. Marci looked gorgeous in her pristine white dress with a black sash and back stilettos with rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.
Joe and his wife gave Marci away and took their seats and the soon to be husband and wife took their aside the alter to begin the traditional catholic service. After receiving communion, a lasso ceremony, blessings from family and friends, the rings, and finally a kiss, they said I do and headed back down the aisle as man and wife!
After the ceremony, all of the guests joined the couple for photos in the historic gardens of the. mission San Juan Capistrano. Marci’s family is a part of the original settlers in the area and thus had special privileges for photos in the original church inside the mission grounds, not featured. This is a privilege held for only families from the original settlers to the area and thus a huge privilege.
After guests toured the grounds and photos were complete, guests boarded buses and made their way to the Laguna Hills Community Ceremony for a banquet of local authentic Mexican food and dancing till the late morning! Congratulations again Mari & Jesse, thank you for letting me help plan such a special occasion for the two of you!
