As a Valentine’s Day Event Planner Orange County, some of our favorite trends this year are rose bouquets, untraditional valentine colors, and ways to celebrate the holiday Covid-style.
Rose bouquets have been a trending flower source for many many generations. This year, we have noticed this tradition change through variations in color, texture and even shape. Of course, anybody would be lucky to receive a simple bouquet of a dozen red, pink, or white roses on Valentine’s Day from someone special, but this year bouquets are not only made up of just roses. They are adorned with palm fronds in the shape of hearts, wrapped in gorgeous boxes, and some are not even real roses, but edible food instead. What a better way to say “I love you tulip much” than a bouquet that not only smells good, but tastes great too!
The traditional red, pink, and white colors are seeming to step aside this year and letting lilac and gold take center stage. We see this shine in romantic wedding decorations and cute valentines that can be passed around to your friends and family. The lilac and gold hues are a perfect transition from the sweet Valentine’s Day winter holiday to the cheerful anticipation of spring and Easter.
As Covid might have put a damper on your romantic holiday plans, we have found some ways to brighten your Covid-safe celebrations. As for gift ideas, soft robes and slippers would be the perfect addition to your at-home party. A heart-shaped pizza (take-out, of course) or a “build-your-own” bouquet are just the right amount of romance for a slow evening. For a more creative night, pop some popcorn and pick out your favorite candy and recreate the traditional night out at the theatre experience with your favorite romantic comedy.
