As a LGBTQ Wedding Planner Orange County, our teams love to show off couples personalities in the wedding day! We had the privilege of helping Brittany and Kate celebrate their wedding day at Ole Hanson Beach Club in San Clemente and Franciscan Gardens ins in San Juan Capistrano.
After a year of planning through a pandemic, Kate and Brittany decided to move forward with just their closest friends and family for the wedding of their dreams. After deciding to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Franciscan Gardens with beach photos at their original venue, Ole Hanson Beach Club, the couple decided to make the day their own and add all their own special touches. One of my absolutely favorite was Brittany’s dark blue velvet suit! It was truly amazing and a perfect look to match Kate’s flowing white gown with beading around the waist.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted by flowers and family as they took their places for the ceremony. As the bridal party made their way down the aisle, a special appearance was made by the couples two dogs in matching bow ties to complete the family photos! Kate and Brittany met at the alter and exchanged vows and rings before family and friends. A few tears, lots of smiles, and the promise of forever was before them.
As the couple made their way to the beach during cocktail hour, the guests dined outdoors in the garden patio and enjoyed Kate’s favorite cocktail, a Wisconsin mule. While Kate and Brittany were at the beach, the took photos and had a romantic time together. They were even approached by onlookers who said they they had noticed the couple taking photos and brought down a bottle of champagne from their house for them to celebrate together. What a wonderful surprise!
After Kate and Brittany made their way back to the venue, the had their grand entrance and then they began their first dance.
An amazing plated dinner was served to guests by 24 Carrots Catering. After dinner had concluded, the couple cut their cake and turned up the dance music so people could boogie the night away. A late night snack of quesadillas and tacos put the final touches on the evening just before guests departed for the night.
